Your account & data
Know what happens when you leave.
Signing out, leaving a family, and deleting your account are different actions. Here’s what is available during development.
A complete account-deletion and data-export workflow is not available yet. Retention periods, shared-history handling, and deletion timeframes still need to be finalized.
Signing out or uninstalling
Signing out ends the session on that device. Uninstalling removes the app from the device. Neither action deletes your account or the family records stored on the server.
Leaving a family
Membership controls in development builds are separate from global account deletion. Leaving a family or transferring ownership does not, by itself, erase the underlying account or shared event history. Follow the instructions for your test build and ask your test coordinator if you are unsure.
Requesting help during private testing
A public privacy inbox is being set up. If you are an invited tester, contact the person who provided your testing invitation through that existing channel.
- Explain whether you want to leave a family, stop testing, or ask about account deletion.
- Use your own account contact information when discussing the request. Never send a password, verification code, or recovery link.
- Ask what can currently be removed, what shared records may remain, and how the outcome will be confirmed.
This page does not submit or complete a deletion request. We cannot yet publish a guaranteed deletion timeframe.
What remains to be completed
- A verified account-deletion request flow.
- Rules for family ownership and outstanding responsibilities.
- Published retention periods for account, event, response, and audit records.
- Data export, confirmation, and support procedures.
