Add a child profile or optional child account

Include a child in the plan without requiring them to have a phone or login.

These guides describe the current private-test experience. Mobile access is by invitation, and available features can depend on your test build.

A profile is enough to be part of the plan

  1. As the family owner, open Family and choose Add child profile.
  2. Select Profile only and enter a display name.
  3. Save the profile. You can now select the child as an event participant.

A profile-only child has no login and does not need a phone number. Adults still coordinate the child’s events and rides.

Set up optional account access

  1. The family owner chooses the child-account option and enters the child’s mobile number.
  2. On their device, the child chooses Child account sign in and enters that same number.
  3. The child enters the SMS verification code, then confirms the matching profile and family.

This setup is separate from adult invitation codes. If the number does not match or the setup has expired, ask the owner to review it. Use this flow only within the access and eligibility instructions for your private test.

Understand what a child account can see

A child account can see the full shared family agenda and respond to responsibilities assigned to that account. It cannot create, edit, or cancel events, invite adults, or add child profiles.

Consider everyone with access before adding private details to an event. A child profile is not a separate private calendar.
